In terms of battery life, the RescueMe PLB1 is right on point. This battery lasts for 7 years (without charging!), making this product very affordable. The battery must be replaced after activation of an emergency signal or after 7 years. The PLB1 is designed with ease of use in mind. Measuring just 75mm(3 inches) in height, 51mm(2 inches) in width and 32.5mm(1,3 inches) in depth, and weighing just 116 grams, the PLB1 will always fit in your kit. The emergency signal can be easily activated with just one hand as soon as necessary. Your emergency call will immediately be sent via the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system, with accurate position information for search and rescue services. The PLB1 also transmits a Homing signal for rescue helicopters and aircraft. The powerful battery ensures that the PLB1 continues to transmit for at least 24 hours (the PLB1 can be switched off manually). Operating within a temperature range of -20°C (-4°F) to +55°C (131°F), the PLB1 transmits for at least 24 hours. A self-test function is available as standard and we offer a generous warranty period of (max.) 5 years for this product.
